CONTEST RULES

Please review the 2013 Cemeteryscape Entry Requirements for complete information.

  • Photos must be cemetery-related and not previously shown in a Cemeteryscape exhibit.
  • Photos may be from any cemetery in the world and be in black-and-white or in color.
  • No photo-collages or other forms of artwork will be accepted.
  • Entries must be received by 5pm (Central Time) on Monday, April 15, 2013.

This is a juried competition. Notification of acceptance into the exhibit will be emailed to photographers on Monday, May 17, 2013. Chosen photographs must be completely matted, framed, wired to hang, and delivered to Save Our Cemeteries in New Orleans at the photographer’s expense.

Unsold submissions that are not picked up at the SOC office one month after closing of the show are considered a tax-deductible donation to Save Our Cemeteries, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Photos will be for sale, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting our educational and outreach programs.

Save Our Cemeteries is not responsible for lost, damaged, delayed, misdirected or illegible submissions. By entering the contest, entrants grant SOC the right to publish and use the submitted photo in print or electronic format for advertising and promotion of SOC, and for commercial products benefiting the organization (including, but not limited to, SOC publications). Any photo used will include a photographer credit.
